What is PYP, and why should businesses support PYP?
Several studies have shown that athletes that participate in competitive sports, on average, are more involved in their communities, carry higher grade point averages, and are less likely to be in trouble-causing situations. Several studies have shown that kids who exercise and work on physical health also benefit significantly in their mental health. And maybe most important of all is building incredible character traits such as leadership, friendship, work ethic, overcoming adversity, time management, sportsmanship, organizational skills, coachability, responsibility, accountability, and dedication. These character traits can fill athletes with pride, honor, respect, love, and compassion for their teammates, coaches, parents, opponents, and those that served in helping them through the process.
Some of the athletes may get opportunities to play for their local communities in High School and possibly have a chance to play in college and get assistance with college tuition as a student-athlete. Others will still learn valuable life lessons that will assist them in becoming the next generation of leaders, educators, parents, coaches, trainers, and contributing members of their communities.
For an athlete to play in highly competitive sports (Travel Sports), the average organization fee can be between $1000 and $3000. Those fees usually only cover being on the team, uniforms, and tournament or scheduled games. That alone eliminates several athletes from participating in sports at higher levels. Other costs not included in organization fees can consist of training, lessons, travel, lodging, equipment, and other expenses that continue to add up.
Powerhouse Youth Program works within several communities to allow all kids to get involved in travel sports, education assistance, physical health training, and offer a fun, safe, and affordable environment. PYP will use sponsorships and donations to fund scholarships for organization fees and secure trainers, tutors, and rehab specialists. Without financial assistance, these athletes would not get the opportunity to play travel sports, receive education assistance, the equipment necessary to play/practice these sports or get physical health support.
PYP utilizes Powerhouse Athletics LLC to provide services. The Powerhouse Athletics 34,000 sq. ft. training facility is located in Franklin, Indiana. We open our doors to approximately 200 people per day and over a thousand per week through our current baseball and softball programs. We have 300 program athletes and another 250 who only train with us. Our partnership with Max Strength and Performance allows us to train in football, track and field, weightlifting, adult strength and wellness, and speed and footwork. We have added a small basketball court for the players, staff, and siblings to have recreation time while visiting. Sponsoring or donating to PYP will allow kids to take advantage of Powerhouse Athletics services at little to no cost that, without your help, they would not be able to do so. Current Powerhouse Athletes stretch across the Midwest, but most are from central to southern Indiana. In its 10th year, Powerhouse Athletics has always worked hard to help all kids to have the opportunity to play and compete in travel sports. It is one of the few programs that work with kids outside of the sport to help with education and provide a fun, safe area for kids to hang out.
Sponsorship and Donation Levels- Each level lasts an entire year
The Facility - $4000- The Facility Level will scholarship 3 to 4 players' fees for the entire season. The sponsor or
donor will have their name and additional info put on a XL banner and be given a dedicated section within the facility.
Example: (Business name) Hitting Lab., Weekly individual recognition on our social media, Sponsor Gear Pack (Hat,
T-shirt, Hoodie). We will have one teams add your logo to their practice shirts. Company added to our home
page.Facility Areas available: Hitting Tech Laboratory, Defense Area 1, Defense Area 2, Arm Barn (Baseball
Bullpen), Fastpitch Bullpen, Hitting lesson cages, Basketball Court, Sprint Track, Team Warm-up Area.
The Cage- $2500- The Cage level will scholarship 2 to 3 players' fees for the entire season. The sponsor or donor
will have their name and additional info put on a large banner and be given a dedicated team hitting cage within the
facility, BiWeekly individual recognition on our social media, Team Hoodie, Company added to our home page.
The Banner- $2000- The Banner Level will help scholarship 1 to 2 player fees for the entire season. Sponsor or
donor will have their name put on a medium banner in a high visibility area in the facility, BiWeekly recognition on our
social media, and Company added to our sponsor page.
The Standard- $1200- The Standard Level will scholarship 1 player fee for the entire season. Sponsor or donor will
have their name added to a group sponsor banner displayed on the group sponsor wall in a high visibility area in the
facility, Monthly group recognition on our social media, Company added to our sponsor page.
The Trainer- $750- The Trainer Level will scholarship 1 player for 10 Lesson sessions with a trainer, Monthly group
recognition on our social media, Company added to our sponsor page.
The Grade-$500- The Grade Level will Scholarship 1 player for tutoring sessions in current class subjects. 1 Time
Group Recognition on our social media, Sponsor or donor will have their name or the name of their business added
to our website.
Other- $200 or less -Thank you, your donation will help 1-2 kids get started with us.
